Windber Medical Center is asking for your
help. Our work in healing, hospice and advanced research has
been fruitful. We have been abundantly blessed and we are
grateful.
Now, we want to create a special place here
in the hospital, not for the body, but for the soul.
It will be built of masonry, glass and
timber; a space for meditation, restful reflection and
inspiration.
It will be a place of spiritual retreat for
our caregivers, our patients and our community.
It will be a space for music, education and
relaxation; even for special events, patriotic memorials and
holiday celebrations.
It will be WindberPlace. Won't you
help us build this special
place?

One of the most serious health problems
facing our region is childhood obesity. If a solution is not
found, our high rates of Childhood obesity will translate
into near epidemic cases of diabetes and heart disease.
Now, Windber Research Institute,
together with Windber Medical Center, is establishing a
special Childhood Obesity Clinic.
WindberPlace will be a key resource of
the Childhood Obesity Clinic.
The associated press in a March 14, 2005
article saluted Windber's efforts to tackle childhood
obesity on a genetic, a behavioral and a spiritual
level.
WindberPlace is a concrete expression of
our commitment to making life better for all of us, now
and far into the future.
You can
help us make WindberPlace a
reality with your generous
contribution to the Windber Health Care foundation.
You can contribute either by mail or using our
secure, online donation form.
